Mark Funk began his career with Northwestern Mutual as an intern in May of 1999. After graduating from the University of Northern Iowa with a BA in finance, Mark pursued a full time position with Northwestern as a financial representative. Achievements throughout the industry include membership in the Million Dollar Round Table (2004, 2006-2010, 2014-2016), the National Quality Award (2002-2010), and the National Sales Achievement Award. Mark was named New Financial Representative of the Year for the Network Office in 2001 and 2004 and was also voted the top 20 business leaders under the age of 40 in 2005 by Cedar Valley Business Magazine. Mark was appointmed Managing Director in July of 2007 and continues to direct the Waterloo district office today. Mark is a Wealth Management Advisor and works with a team of 5 to help clients with Financial Planning.   

Mark is actively involved in the Blackhawk County Estate Planning Council, Panther Wrestling Club, Immaculate Conception, Saint Edwards Parish, Sunnyside Country Club,The Greater Cedar Valley Chamber of Commerce and the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors. Mark resides in Waterloo with his wife Traci and children Madison, Garrett and Jenna. The family stays very busy with the kids' sports and school activities. They enjoy golfing, hunting, fishing, travelling and hiking.

Ally joined Northwestern Mutual in May of 2015 as a recruiter after her graduation from the University of Northern Iowa. While at UNI, she majored in Leisure, Youth and Human Services with an emphasis in Tourism. Ally is from Clear Lake, Iowa, and currently lives in Waterloo with her dog River. In her spare time, Ally volunteers for Junior Achievement, and loves doing anything outdoors such as biking, running and taking River for a walk.

Dalton started with Northwestern Mutual as an intern in the summer of 2014. While in his internship he achieved Power of 10, which places him in the top 10% of all interns in the company. Dalton graduated from the University of Iowa in May 2015 with a BBA in Finance. Upon graduation he accepted a full-time position with Northwestern as a Financial Representative.
As the Funk Team evolved, Dalton joined the team in October 2016 as an Associate Financial Representative. Along with the Funk Team personal practice, Dalton also works on the team's district side as a Development Director, training new reps and helping them develop their business.
Dalton grew up in Hudson and resides there today. He is a huge Green Bay Packers and Iowa Hawkeyes fan and enjoys attending games for both. Every morning Dalton likes to stays active with CrossFit.

Nick Jans started out with Northwestern Mutual as an intern in 2011. After graduating from the University of Northern Iowa with a BA in Finance and Real Estate, he accepted a full-time position as a financial representative with Northwestern. Since then Nick has become a Financial Advisor/Growth and Development Director. Achievements throughout his five years include Intern Power of 10, Target 20, Intern Winter Camp Qualifier, Pacesetter First 40, Fastrack Academy, and his ChFC designation.

Nick is from Grundy Center, Iowa, and currently lives in Waterloo with his wife Kelly and their Goldendoodle puppy Charlee. He is actively involved in Big House at Orchard Hill Church, Junior Achievement, Jaycees and NAIFA. On his down time Nick enjoys reading, hunting, fishing and travelling with Kelly.
